Nellie Mae (Glover) Sherrill, 95, of Gastonia passed away peacefully on Monday February 11, 2019. Nellie is the daughter of the late Mary (Capps) and Isaac Glover. Nellie was also preceded in death by her husband, Roe Lee Sherrill in 1985. Nellie is the last of five siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Rita Meek and husband James. She leaves behind two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday February 14, 2019 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Ray Pennell will be the officiant.
