Dot Barnard passed away peacefully on February 12, 2014. She was born in Cramerton, N.C. to Isaac Campbell and Mary Adulcie Glover and was the youngest of five children. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Donald Barnard, her brothers, Marvin and Grover Glover , sister Blanche Garrison and grandson Jason Trace Camp.
Dot is survived by her son; Bruce Donald Barnard Jr. and wife Jackie; daughter Lynne Barnard Camp and husband Larry Camp; daughter Babes Barnard Stott and husband Bryan Stott. She is survived by her four grandchildren; Chad Hunter Camp and wife Susan, Travis Ryan Camp and wife Amy; Mary Bryan Stott Tweedy and husband Matt; Kathryn Ann Stott Midkiff and husband Dave. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; Madilin Grace Tweedy, Baleb Ryan Camp,Benjamin Matthew Tweedy, Emma Caroline Camp, Lukas Bryan Tweedy, Kate Madison Camp and Elizabeth Hunter Camp. Her ninth great grandson will be born in March. Dot loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and had great you in spending time with all of them. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and was loved by many. She is also survived by sister Nell Sherrill and brother-in-law Dr. George Barnard and wife Pat and many nieces and nephews.
Dot was loved by all she came in contact with. Her special giving and loving spirit impacted untold numbers and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service on Eastchester Dr. by the Rev. Dr. Jeff Patterson. Interment will follow in the Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
