She was born Nov. 13, 1889 in Senne, Slovakia, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Molnar) Hreha. She had been a resident of Bloomingdale 40 years.
Mrs. Matuska leaves her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Anna) Homol of Cadiz, Mrs. Dean (Helen) Krebbs of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Charles (Josephine) Waligura of Bloomingdale, and Mrs. Fred (Susan) Ramer of Toronto; four sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Matuska of RD1 Bloomingdale, Joseph (Helen) Matuska of Steubenville, Andrew Matuska of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Robert (Bernadine) Matuska of Bloomingdale; a stepbrother, Francis Jabana of Slovakia; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Olexia, Mrs. Elizabeth Olexia, and Mrs. Bertha Miller, all of Mingo Junction and Mrs. Anna Lucas of Rayland; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Ridgely Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Smithfield with the Rev. Fr. John Reardon as celebrant. Burial in Northern Cemetery, Smithfield.
