Mrs. Boland Dies at 76
Mrs. Anna Langan Boland, 76, of 211 Rich St., died yesterday in St. Mary's Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, she was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church, a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Surviving are her husband, Mathias P. Boland; two sons, Mathias P. Boland Jr. of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Joseph E. Boland of Syracuse; a daughter, Sister Eileen of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary, Plattsburgh; a brother, George A. Langan; two sisters, Mrs. Burt J. Hopkins and Mrs. Francis K. Landers, and six grandchildren. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Schumacher-Whelan Brothers Funeral Home, 366 W. Onondaga St., and at 9 a.m. in Most Holy Rosary Church, where a solemn high Mass of requiem will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the funeral home.
