She married on 28 May 1838 in Warren Co., KY, by Zack Emerson, Robert Ground (buried at Pleasant Valley); they had the following children: (1) Edward (1839-1923) who married Mary Frances Lowe (both buried at Pleasant Valley); (2) Isaac Henry (1841-1923) who married Mollie M. Russell; (3) Thomas Jefferson (1843-1927) who married Eliza Jane Jones; (4) John (1845-1931) who married Alice C. Knight and Mary Jane Lewis; (5) Sarah Catherine (1847-abt 1885) who married William J. Morgan; (6) Elizabeth Goodnight (1851-1922) who married Benjamin Franklin Wolcott (both buried at Pleasant Valley); (7) William Harrison (1854-1936) who married Pollie Dodson; (8) Stephen Arnold Douglas (1858-1928) who married Texas Anne Lowe; (9) Annie Elizabeth (1861-1958) who married Theodore Cornelius Wilder; and (10) Robert Letcher (1865-1952) who married Versalue Wattenburg.
