Joseph Accordino, 79, of 1108 Daisy St., Clearfield, died Saturday, Aug. 6, at Clearfield Hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1904, in Joisa-Maria, Italy, he was a son of Philip and Anna (Buzzanca) Accordino.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy Lodge. He had retired from Harbison-Walker Refractories after 48 years of service.
Mr. Accardino is survived by his wife, the former Carmella Casamento; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ann) Ettaro of Clearfield and Mrs. Nicholas (Madeline) Colose of Buffalo, N.Y.; a sister, Madeline Zampino, and a brother, Gaegano Accordino, both of Toronto, Canada; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and one grandchild.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Barcio tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Leavy-Valigorsky Funeral Home, Clearfield, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the hour of services tomorrow. The Sons of Italy will hold a memorial service today at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Christian Vigil services will be held at 8:30.
