L. Grace Holland, of Marysville, PA, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at her home.
Grace was born in Bellwood, PA, a daughter of the late Walter B. and Elvira May (Pletcher) Kennedy.
She was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown, PA. She retired after 28 years of service as a Clerk-Typist in the Consultant Division, PA Dept. of Transportation, Harrisburg. Later she worked 8 years for the former Bon-Ton Department Store, Camp Hill.
She was a member of Marysville Church of God, where she served as a Deaconess, Usher and Greeter. Also a member of the Golden Age Club of Marysville and Senior Life of the Marysville Church of God. Grace was always a Lady. She will be fondly remembered by her church family for her beautiful hats. She was always fond of music and dancing from age 6 when she won her first dance contest. Grace loved God and family and cared for the welfare of animals.
She was the widow of Warren E. Holland. Grace is survived by two daughters, Pamela I., wife of Jack Fisher, Marysville and Elaine D. Holland, New Cumberland, grandchildren: Heidi, wife of Jeff DeDay, Warren Fisher, his wife Wendy, Micah Fisher, two great-grandsons, Thomas and Tyler Fisher and a sister, Ilene Young, Tyrone, PA.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Lewis, Edna Hinkle, Lavina Troxell and a brother, Jay Kennedy.
Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in the Marysville Church of God, with Pastor Rodger Scheuing officiating. Visitation will be held will be held from 11:00 A.M. to Noon on Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marysville Church of God, 106 Maple Avenue, Marysville, PA 17053.
