Dorothy Mae (Bartlett) Arnold, 87, of Greeley, died July 2, 2019 she was born to Wilbur Marlin and Zelma Rose (Cogdill) Bartlett in Colby, Kansas. They lived in Gill, CO, but Mrs. Zelma Bartlett went back home to be with her mother for the birth.

Dorothy attended Gill school and then attended to Mrs. Adean’s Commercial College in Greeley for a year. During this time, she worked at Goracke’s Beauty Salon and the Sterling Theater.

She married Gerald James Arnold on April 29 1950. They had five children: four sons and one daughter.

In 1968, she started working for the City of Greeley as a police and fire dispatcher. Through the years, she became the supervisor of Communication. She also worked in police records and data entry. She retired from the city in 1989, and then worked a year at Bonell Good Samaritan as a receptionist.

Mrs. Arnold attended the Elks Club and later the Moose Club with her husband. They belonged to a boat club at Seeley Lake and went boating every chance they could for many years. She loved water skiing and camping.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Patrick and his wife Yolanda; daughter, Judith White of Greeley; four grandchildren, Dawn, Shawn, and Jason Arnold, and Tarah White; three great-grandchildren, Bridgett, Krista, and Ali Arnold; great-great grandson, Andre Arnold; step grand daughters, Alisha Peter and Randi Vilkaitis; step-great grand daughters, Kayla & Kaydence Vilkaitis, Ceilia Peter; step great great grand sons, Stellan & Everett Peter; sister-in-law Lois Bartlett (Nuss) of Brighton; and other extended family, close family Val Strother, Chuck and Tina Rockwell, and Olivia and Jack Rockwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry; sons Robin L., Mike and Kelly Arnold; great-grandson Cody Van Doren; great-granddaughter, Kelsi Colton; her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Russell Lohr; and brother, Les Bartlett.

A Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 P.M. followed by services starting at 2:00 P.M. on Monday July 22, 2019 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO. Interment will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery.
