MR. EARLES
VALLEY -- Mr. Ray Earles, 68, of Valley died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery, Ala.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. (EDT) at Huguley Nazarene Church with the Revs. Freddie Lindsey and John Shipman officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Earles is survived by one daughter, Karen Gleaton of Valley; five grandchildren, Joylin Turnham, Karson Turnham, Jalee Turnham, Alana Gleaton and Kyle Ray Earles; one brother, Jody Earles of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and one sister, Connie Janet Tucker of Charlotte, N.C.
Born July 23, 1935 in Chambers County, Mr. Earles was the owner/operator of Ray's Shoes in Valley. He served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Huguley Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Earles was preceded in death by his son, Carlton Ray Earles. He was the son of the late Alonza Jackson Earles and Pauline Barton Earles.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 23 from 7 until 9 p.m. (EDT) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
