The funeral of Mrs. W. B. Woods was held Sunday, July 27, 1952 at the Church of the Nazarene, with the pastor, Rev. C. K. Gottner officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Point Cemetery with Kays Funeral Service in charge.
Tina Zobeda Johnson was born October 2, 1885, the daughter of the late Bennie and Mae Johnson. She was married to George W. Powell in February, 1901. They were the parents of five children, two of whom preceded their mother in death. Bennie at the age of 21 and Beulah at the age of 17.
Mrs. Powell was married in July, 1935 to W. B. Woods who survives her. Other surviving near relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sipult, Wichita, Kansas, and Mrs. Lena Bartlett, Lake Ozark; a son, George Powell, Seattle, Washington; two step-sons, Lloyd Woods, Hollywood, California and Cecil Woods of Kans.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Aull and Mrs. Cora Schaulbert; a grandson, Ralph Spencer; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Ira and Jesse Johnson and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Barnhart, Mrs. Ollie Hendricks and Mrs. Emma Bilyeu.
Mrs. Woods became a member of the Christian Church early in life and after moving to Eldon placed her membership with the Church of the Nazarene.
