Larry Frakes, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away in his home on January 9. 2020. He was born October 2, 1949 to Don Frakes and Polly Hampton-Frakes.

He is preceded in death by both parents; brother, Jimmy Frakes, as well as his sisters Vickie and Linda Frakes, and brother-in-law Joe Hendrickson.

Larry is survived by son, David Frakes; brothers Terry Frakes and bill Frakes; sisters Jane Hendrickson, Cathy Frakes, and Rita Thomas (Jim); grandchildren Brittney, Austin, Jackson, and Bentley Frakes, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Larry served in the United States Army during Vietnam, in which he was honored with a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of VFW 972. He loved the military, but more than anything Larry loved he grandchildren.

Visitation for Larry will be held on Monday, January 13 from 4-8 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 14 at 11 AM with burial at Farmersburg Westlawn to follow. Pastor Jeff Lee will be officiating and there will be military honors at the cemetery.
