Opha Ford Elliott, 73, of Marion, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at her residence.
Born in Cooke County, TN, to the late Lloyd and Martha Cagle Ford, she was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norris Elliott.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances Laney, and husband, Glenn, of Marion; three sons: Gary Elliott and wife, Teresa, Marty Elliott and wife, Susan, all of Marion and Dale Elliott of Salisbury, NC; a sister, Valerie Huffamn, of Atlanta, GA; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 am on Friday, May 4, 2001 at Westmoreland Chapel. The Rev. Bob Buhl officiated and burial was in McDowell Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at Westmoreland Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of McDowell County 218 Logan Street Marion, NC 28752. Westmoreland Funeral Home assisted the family.
