MARRIAGE LICENSES

CARLISLE, Feb. 26. - Marriage licenses were issued at the Cumberland County courthouse yesterday to:

Richard Gutshall and Mary Ellen Darhower, both of Carlisle, R.D. 2.

Mary Ellen (Darhower) Gutshall, 89, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born on February 19, 1930 in Carlisle and was one of 13 children born to the late Harry J. and Hazel (Moore) Darhower. Mary was the widow of Richard E. Gutshall who passed away on August 25, 1998.

Mary retired from Kinney Shoe Corp., Carlisle. She was a member of Mt. Holly Springs Church of God. She enjoyed singing with her husband and traveled to different places to entertain. Mary was a regular attendee of the Golden Ager Club and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Bertha R. Gutsahll and her companion Bob Peters, three sons; Richard E. Gutshall and his companion Cathy Gutshall, Robert E. Gutshall and his wife Linda Bailey and Ronald E. Gutshall and his wife Diane Gill, one brother, Urie Darhower, two sisters; Fayelynn Enterline and Betty Myers, grandchildren; Don Mixell, Jr. and his wife Becky, Bobby Gutshall, Randy Gutshall and his wife Jessica, Crystal Gutshall and husband Dan Myers and Danny Gutshall and his wife Kelsey, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
