Mrs. Cochran was a native of Lancaster, Pa., coming to Sterling with her husband in the year of 1864. She raised a family of children who have been prominent in the later days affairs of the city and spent her last days at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Bell where her death occurred at 1 o'clock this morning.
Funeral services will be held from the W.J. Bell home Monday afternoon with the Rev. W.W. Alesworth of the Fourth street M.E. church officiating. Interment will be made in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. Cochran was 89? years of age and is survived by the following children; Frank, Edward, John, Charles and Mrs. W.J. Bell of this city, Mrs. T.H. Edward of Clarksville, Mo., Mrs. S.A. Dempsy? of El Paso, Tx., and Mrs. Courtright (Cartwright?) of Olathe, Kan.
