Son of James Wesley and Martha (Timmons) Gregg.

CIVIL WAR: served as a Private in Company D, Cass County Regiment, Missouri Home Guards.
(Note: Family records indicate that Samuel's military/ Civil War stone was at Wadesburg Cemetery where his parents and some siblings are buried, and it was believed he was buried there. The stone was not found in 2007, altho a base similar to those used for Civil War veterans is there, and years ago my mother placed flowers for him. Samuel is listed at that cemetery on Findagrave, as a centopath, in addition to this one.

Samuel N. Gregg, aged 79 years, died at this home in Gas City yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Death was due to dropsy. The funeral services with be held at the residence on South McRae street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, Captain Clark, Salvation Army Officer, officiating. Mr. Gregg was the grandfather of Riley Foster Gregg, aged four years, who died at this home in Gas City Tuesday night. The funeral services were held at the home yesterday afternoon.
