Amelia Hobart was named after Lady Castlereagh. She was married on the 26th June, 1845, at the residence of her father, near the Falls of Niagara, to Hugh Taylor, of Montreal, advocate, by the Rev. William Leeming, Rector of the Parish. They had three children:
1. Reid, born 27th Nov 1847.
2. Horatio Herbert, born 18th Aug 1858.
