Georgia E. Holcroft, 88, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday in Golden Manor Nursing Home in Brownsburg. She was a former resident of Franklin.
She was born April 11, 1886, in Johnson county to Mode and Laura (Mitchell) Compton. She married Martin Holcroft May 5, 1906. He died in January 1970.
Mrs. Holcroft was a member of Kansas Christian Church.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Jarrett officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Robert Holcroft of Plainfield, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two half-brothers, Ralph Compton of Acton and Earl Compton of Columbus, O., and a half sister, Mrs. Catherine Wertz of Edinburg.
