BENNETT FIELD was born on December 13, 1709 in Deerfield, Colony of Massachusettes. He was the son of John Webb Field (1673-1718) and Mary Bennett (1675-1718).

Bennett married Elizabeth Spafford in Deerfield on Dec. 18, 1734. Elizabeth was born on April 9, 1715 in Boxford, Colony of Massachusettes and was the daughter of Thomas Spofford (born 1678) and Bethia Haseltine or Hazelton (born 1682) then residing in Lebanon, New London, Colony of Connecticut.

Soon after their marriage, Bennett and Elizabeth moved to Lebanon, Conn. and Bennett was admitted to the church there in 1736.

Bennett purchased of Caleb and Noah Chapin of Lebanon, Conn., Nov. 21, 1733, a tract of land;( Vol. V; Pg. 20) on which he resided until 1740, when he sold and removed to Mansfield, Conn.

* LUCY......................... born Feb. 11, 1739 in Lebanon; (married Gershom Palmer..she died Nov. 11, 1815 Woodstock, Vt. and is buried in River Street Cemetery in Windsor County, Vt.)
* ELIZABETH............... born Sept. 26, 1740 in Lebanon; (married Thomas Root Sept. 24, 1761).....she died 1780.
* HULDAH................... born Feb. 24, 1743 in Stafford; (married Moses Bicknell)....she died Nov. 21, 1809 and is buried in Old Storrs Cemetery in Tolland County, Ct.)
* SARAH...................... born Apr. 9, 1744 in Stafford; (married Zebulon Gurley May 22, 1766).....she died Jan. 1, 1793 Mansfield, Ct. and is buried in Pink Cemetery in Tolland County, Ct.)
* BETHYAH................. born Apr. 8, 1746 in Stafford; (married Seth Pierce Jr Apr. 17, 1767)......she died Sept. 18, 1807 Berlin, Vt.)
* HANNAH.................. born May 26, 1748 in Mansfield; (married Cap't Stephen Brigham.....she died Aug. 1, 1837 Mansfield, Ct. and is buried in Pink Cemetery, Tolland County, Ct)
* AMOS....................... born Apr. 20, 1750 in Mansfield; (married Zeriah Baldwin Sept. 10, 1772).....he died June 17, 1831 Dorset, Vt. and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Vt.)
* BENNETT................. born Apr. 12, 1752 in Mansfield; (married Elizabeth Pierce....he died Jan. 31, 1835 Berlin, Vt.)
* SAMUEL................... born May 6, 1754 in Mansfield; (married Eunice Dunham....he died Dec. 7, 1817 Woodstock, Vt. and is buried in South Woodstock Methodist Burying Ground, Woodstock, Vt. )
* ELIJAH..................... born Apr. 30, 1756 in Mansfield; (married Tamison Crane.....he died Sept. 29, 1828 Houndsfield, N. Y. and is buried in Field's Settlement Cemetery in Jefferson County, N.Y.)

BENNETT FIELD died April 6, 1770 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecticut. I do not have documented burial records at this time.
