"Dorothy Edwards, 81, of Savoyard, gained her angel wings Thursday, December 19, 2019 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Wilford Morgan and Ruby Morgan of Glasgow.
She worked at Ky pant company making blue jeans, helping work on the farm, raising 5 kids mostly by herself until she met the love of her life the late Cecil G Edwards. She loved being outdoors working in the flower beds growing every kind of flower that god ever created. She also loved making crafts of all kinds especially angel tree ornaments, sewing guilts, making clothes for her grand kids and cooking Sunday dinner for her family, she enjoyed cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas was her favorite time of the year.
Dorothy is survived by one brother Wayne Morgan and wife Kay Morgan of Glasgow, one daughter Sandy Pennington, wife of Stevie Pennington, of Center; four sons: Dan Turner and wife Brenda of Georgetown, Bobby Edwards and wife Penny of Center, Ricky Edwards and wife Patricia of Hiseville, Preston Edwards of Edmonton, 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews which were the center of her life.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Francis Houchens and Opal Parker; 3 brothers: Charles Morgan, Junior Morgan and Hobart Morgan; 1 stepdaughter: Sharon Poynter.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3pm to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home."
