Jean was a native and resident of New Iberia, LA. She passed away at her home.
She was a member of Saint Edward Catholic Church. Jean and her husband served as parade Grand Marshals for the 2010 church fair. She was employed by the Iberia Parish School Board. She worked as a secretary at New Iberia Freshman High School, now Westgate High School, for thirty seven years. She was a 1967 graduate of Jonas Henderson High School.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband, Luther Branham, Jr. of New Iberia, LA; two daughters, Prudence B. Russell (James III.) of Saint Martinville, LA. and Fashion Harvey (Reginald) of Keller, TX., two grandchildren, Jaiden Russell and Xavier Harvey; one brother, Bernard Hill (Joyce) of New Iberia, LA; three sisters, Phillicie Hill Small (Larry) of Cerritos, CA, Mary Elaine Broussard (Lloyd) of Menifee, CA and Lisa Ann Hill of New Iberia, LA. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose Hill, Sr. and Mary Louise Wesley Hill; two brothers, Ambrose Hill, Jr. and Paul Hill; and one sister, Theresa H. Butler Flugence.
