Roy F. Bird, 76, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Westview Christian Church with Charles Waugh officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Mausoleum by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mr. Bird married Mickey McDowell on Dec. 24, 1948. He was a resident of Amarillo for many years. He served in World War II in the Air Force, doing duty in Korea and Japan. He was in the real estate business for many years. He served as a deacon and elder of Westview Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Regina Bird of Amarillo and Laurie Bollig and husband, Randy, of Argyle; a brother, John Bird of Savannah, Ga.; a granddaughter, Katherine Bollig of Argyle; a grandson, Christopher and wife, Denise, of New Braunfels.
The family suggests memorials be to Westview Christian Church Building Fund, 6810 Hillside Road, Amarillo, TX 79109.
