Joseph was a nice young man who was injured loading bombs during the Korean War. He suffered Brain Trauma and his parents took care of him for many years.

Joe was son of Julius Royer "Roy" Ranck and Maggie Patterson Ranck. He was one of 10 children. The children were:

Charles Ranck, Marvin L Ranck, John J Ranck, Shirley A Ranck, Florence I "Flossie" Ranck, Joy L Ranck, Anna Ranck, Richard Roy Ranck, Patricia Ranck, and Judy Ranck.
