Joy E. Morrow, 87, a Martinsville resident, passed from this life on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:10 am at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, IN. She was born Tuesday, March 19, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Roy J. and Margaret (Patterson) Ranck.
Joy was a 1956 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School.
Mr. & Mrs. Morrow moved to Martinsville from TX in 1993 before moving to the Indiana Masonic Home, where they make their home since 2012. Joy enjoyed sewing. She retired in 1974 from Indiana Farm Bureau in Indianapolis where she worked as secretary for 28 years.
Joy married Lorey A. Morrow, his wife of nearly 70 years, on November 24, 1948. She and Lorey passed just hours apart on the same day at the Indiana Masonic Home.
Joy and Lorey had no children. She is survived by one brother, Richard R. Ranck (wife, Mary) of Fairland, IN and one sister, Julia McCammon of Floral City, FL and several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Charles A., Joseph M., John J. and Marvin L. Ranck and sisters, Flossie I. Morgan, Patricia Burger and Shirley A. Beltramini.
In honoring Joy’s wishes she will be cremated and the will be no visitation or service.
