Caroline Shoemaker, age 88, of Allendale, formerly of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 16, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Shoemaker; son-in-law, Mike Bosma.
She is survived by her children, Pam Bosma, Paula (Bill) Gritter, Jeff (Kathy) Shoemaker, Phyllis (Lee) Schutter, Portia (Kirk) Briggs, Joel Shoemaker and fiancee Maria Trevino, James (Sue) Shoemaker; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Julia Wabeke, Dorothy Machiela, Viola Shoemaker.
Caroline raised 7 children and later went on to work at GVSU Food Service for many years.
Funeral services for Caroline will be held on Wednesday, December 18, at 11:00 A.M. at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave. Hudsonville, MI 49426, with Rev. Shawn Hulst officiating. Interment Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Fellowship Reformed Church on Tuesday, December 17, from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
The family wishes to thank Harry and Judy Elgersma for faithfully taking Caroline to church on Sundays.
