A lifelong resident of Westport, he was the son of Fred and Verlie Colby Greenleaf.
He attended Westport schools and was employed with his father as a farmer for a number of years.
Mr. Greenleaf worked at the former Toorey Roller Bushing Co. and at the Bath Iron Works.
He also operated his own carpentry and building company in the Wiscasset area for many years retiring in 1982.
Mr. Greenleaf served as a selectman for many years and was a member of the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Lincoln Lodge of the Masons of Wiscasset, the Dunlop Commandery of Bath, and the Kora Temple Shrine of Lewiston.
He is survived by his mother of Alpharetta, Ga.; his wife of Westport Island; a son, Frank T. Greenleaf, Jr. of Wiscasset; Two daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Asenath) Morton
and Cheryl E. Greenleaf of Westport Island; a sister Mrs. James (Violet) Apt of Alpharetta; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Lincoln Lodge of Masons of Wiscasset held a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset.
Interment will be in Greenleaf Cemetery, Westport Island, in the spring.
Arrangements by Mayo Funeral Home, Federal Street, Wiscasset.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kora Temple Shrine, 11 Sabattus St., Lewiston, 04240 or the Shriners Hospital in Springfield for Crippled Children.
