Jesse L. Adair, 91 of Hannibal, MO went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 10:47 AM Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal, MO. Burial with full military honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal, MO. Brother Jeff Anderson will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal, MO.

The family is being served by the James O’Donnell Funeral Home of Hannibal, MO.

Jesse was born on May 14, 1928 in Hannibal, MO to William “Bob” R. Adair and Laura” Elsie” Taylor Adair Usherwood.

He was married to Betty Louise Frame on October 22, 1948. Jesse and Betty were married for over 71 years. She survives.

Other survivors include, his mother Laura " Elsie" Adair Usherwood, one daughter, Penny Lynn Adair Strube (Lynn); two grandchildren, Levi Strube (Grace) and Carrianne Harrison; six great grandchildren, Jesse Strube, Joni Strube, Jenny Beth Strube, Karsten Harrison, Porter Harrison and Penny Harrison.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father.

Jesse was a printer, having worked at the Hannibal Courier Post for many years.

Away from work Jesse enjoyed fishing, camping and working in his yard. Jesse always enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. Collecting coins, metal detecting and reading western novels and the comics were also a few of Jesse’s favorites. During the Christmas season Jesse made the best peanut brittle for his family and friends. A loving son, husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather, Jesse was devoted to his family and cherished the times they shared together.

Jesse was a longtime member and Deacon at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal, MO.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Strube, Levi Strube, John Frame, Jim Frame, Jeff Frame and Gilbert Cox.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Strube, Karsten Harrison and Porter Harrison.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International.
