Ray was born in Fountain Green, Utah, Oct. 25, 1914 and passed on March 21, 2005, at exactly 2:22 p.m., the number of the bus he and Leoma rode many years to the Salt Lake Temple.
Leoma was born in Black Foot, Idaho, Oct. 1, 1922, the eve of Yom Kippur, and passed on July 17, 2007 at 10:55 p.m. a time which is sacred to some. Ray and Leoma married on Sept. 9, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ray and Leoma raised sheep, horses and cattle on their ranches in Wyoming and Utah. Ray also worked as a loan officer for the PCA. They were active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his service being an ordinance worker in the temple and her love was genealogy. Survived by their sons, Kenneth DeLynn (Louise) and Alan Ray; five grandchildren, Crystie, Preston, Trevor (Monica), Cami (Rich) Kuchinsky, Gina (Kent) Woolf; 10 great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Marshal Cook, Emily, Sarah, and Anthony Kuchinsky, Brianna, Julie, Gavin, Heather and David Woolf. Also survived by Ray's sister, Louise (Rex) Alan, and Leoma sister, Eva Joy Baker. Preceded in death by their sons, Randy Reed and Warren Gene, and Ray's three sisters and three brothers, and Leoma's one sister and three brothers.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 21st, 11 a.m. at the Midvale 11th Ward, 97 W. 7500 S. Midvale, Utah. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Road.
