Clifford “Bud” Jay Webb, 71, of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with the Lord December 12th, 2019. He was born September 25th, 1948 in Newport, TN to the late Jay and Ina Webb. Bud was the oldest sibling to seven brothers and sisters. He was also a loving husband, father, “Pawpaw” to three grandchildren, and Uncle to countless nieces and nephews.
Bud lived a full, adventurous, and exciting life. In 1966, he joined the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam and was later stationed in Madrid, Spain. While on orders in Turkey, he met his loving wife and lifelong companion of 50 years Brenda Webb. Soon after their first son Sean Webb was born. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he remained in Spain as U.S. Customs Inspector. On their leisure time Bud and his family spent several years touring Europe with friends.
After returning home to the United States, Bud joined the Little Rock Police Department. He served in various positions within the department. However, his favorite assignment was being part of the LRPD motorcycle squad. Shortly thereafter Bud and Brenda also celebrated the birth of two more sons, Josh and Justin Webb. In 2000, Bud honorably retired from the LRPD after 20 years of service.
After a short retirement, Bud returned to work as an investigator with the Little Rock City Attorney’s Office. During his off time he traveled the state for the Criminal Justice Institute teaching Spanish classes to Police Officers.
Bud finally fully retired to spend time with his grandsons, Justin Jr, Alex, and Kaden. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Bud’s favorite hobby was planning family trips to Walt Disney World.
Bud leaves behind a great legacy and will be forever missed by countless family and friends.
