Died at the home of his son William near Vibbard; three sisters: Mrs. Lydia Isley, Mrs. F. M. Cravens (Evalyne), and Mrs. James Cravens (Sarah Ann).
James Campbell Cravens was born between 1818 and 1820 in Tennessee. His parents were Joshua Cravens and Anna Campbell, and he was a shoemaker.
James married Martha McCorkle 19 March 1840 in Ray County, MO. She died in 1852, probably of childbirth. Their children were: Alpha O, Salida, Nancy, John, William Thomas, Zarelda Jane, and Eveline.
James married 2nd Minerva Searcy 17 August 1853. She died about 1855, probably in childbirth. Their son was Weston Pierce.
His 3rd wife was Margaret A Clark 17 November 1857. Their children were Lydia Ann, Joshua, James R, and Theodore Elwood. They divorced after 1866.
