Margaret Gaughan Drawdy Smith Fuoss
Margaret Fuoss, age 91, of Okeechobee died September 14, 2006. Mrs. Fuoss was born May 25, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan to William B. and Sarah Catherine (Conner) Haley. She was a retired school secretary having come to Okeechobee from Needham, IN in 1958. Mrs. Fuoss was a devout catholic and member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Mrs. Fuoss is survived by her husband of three years, Walter Fuoss; son, Tommy (Sharon P.) Gaughan of Steinhatchee, FL; two daughters, Patricia G. (Richard) Cooper of Okeechobee and Sarah Kay (John) Brennan of Albuquerque, NM; three stepdaughters, Linda (Tom) Shea and Diane Harbison both of West Palm Beach and Karen Smith of Okeechobee; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation was held from 10:00 to 11:00am on Monday, September 18, 2006 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with funeral mass following at 11:00am. Father Esteban Soy officiated. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, PO Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care of Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory, 205 NE 2nd Street, Okeechobee, 863-763-2111.
