ARCHIE J. SHOREY SR.; PATTEN - Archie J. Shorey Sr., 70, died July 20, 1978 at a Houlton hospital. He was born at Burlington April 4, 1908, the son of Lloyd and Myrtle (Sibley) Shorey. He is survived by two sons, Lawrence and Glenwood, both of Branford, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Harvey of Patten and Mrs. Viola Scales of Branford, Conn.; two stepsons, Ralph Curtis and Charles Curtis, both of Branford, Conn.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Geraldine Harriman of Burlington and Mrs. Viena Ward of Branford, Conn.; five brothers, Hollis of Patten, Clifton and Norman of Branford, Conn.; Howard of Burlington and Floyd of Lincoln; two half sisters, Mrs. Helen Page of Burlington and Mrs. Doris Ealey of Newburyport, Mass.; two half brothers, David Thompson and Randall Soucie of Burlington; 28 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home in Lincoln with the Rev. Henry Nickerson officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
