Services for Carlos Smith England, 82, of 5 Juniper Road, who died Monday (21 Feb 1972) in a Boise hospital after being injured in a pedestrial auto accident, will be conducted at 11 a.m Thurday (24 Feb 1972) at the Boise Third Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Jed Prichett. Internment will be at Pleasant view in Burely at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
He was born Aug. 15, 1889 in Deweyville, Utah, a son of James and Rose England. His parents moved ot Grande Ronde Valley of Eastern Oregon where he lived until he was called on an LDS Mission to Mexico in 1911. While he was away his parents moved to Burley. When he returned from the mission he came to Burley. He married Ethel Egan on Jan. 28, 1915 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He farmed and worked for the state Highway Department in the Burley area. In 1942, they moved to Ogden, where he worked for the Army Service Supply Depot until 1946, when he moved to Boise. In Boise, he was employed by the Idaho Creamery for nine years and then by Albertson's Ice Cream Co. He worked there for 13 years until the time of his death.
Surviors include his wife of Boise; two sons, Leo England of Manson, Wash. and Harold England of Twin Falls; a daugther, Melba Coyes of Portland; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son preceded him n death.
Friends may call at Relysa Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and from 9:00 am until the time of services Thursday.
