She was retired as a manager with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and received multiple excellents awards during her 26 years of service. She loved making pottery, painting, solving puzzles and singing with her husband in church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, SFC. Paul Cleveland Parks and her son, Audie Parks.
Survivors include one son, Gregory Parks of Pembroke; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Richard Loney of Savannah, Paula Parks of Pembroke, Lisa and Wayne Sexton of Bristol, VA and Vickie Chervenak of Colorado; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Elmo Christian of Rockridge, WVa and Leon and Karen Christian of Sevierville, TN; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
