William was the son of Jacob Houk & Sarah Jane Courtney -Early Oregon Pioneer Family. He was married to Nora May Montgomery Houk.
Mr. Houk came to Central Oregon in 1889 with his father, Jacob Houk and had lived in this area for a half-century. For years he was a Rancher and also hauled freight from The Dalles into the Midstate Area.
Funeral Services for William " Alec" Ellsworth Houk - Monday at 1:30 pm at Redmond Church of Christ with Rev. D.L. Penhollow in Charge, and interment at Redmond Cemetery. C.H. Irvin, Redmond Mortician made arrangements. Alec died from complications after an auto accident.
