Frank Kershner, 88, of Webster City, died early Thursday morning at his home, 144 Bank street. Death was sudden, due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with Rev. C. W. Dehne officiating and with burial in Goldfield, Iowa.

Benjamin Frank Kershner, son of Abraham and Delilah Kershner, was born April 26, 1866, on a farm in Carl county near Lafayette, Ind.

At an early age he came with his parents by covered wagon to Iowa, locating on a farm near Clarion. Later the family moved to a farm west of Goldfield, where he was reared and educated.

In 1939, he came to Webster City, which had been his home since.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Leo W. Kershner of Des Moines, Ralph Kershner of Englewood, Colo. and Mrs. Al Shaeffer of Shelby, Mont. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
