Ola died from terminal pneumonia brought on by cancer only six months after her husband, Millard Ernest Gray. Besides her husband, Ola was preceeded in death by three children, an unnamed baby boy who died at about 3 weeks of age, daughters Clair Ola (age 3) and Elma Lee (age 9). Left to mourn her memory were three daughters: Page Gray Godfrey, Mary "Tookie" Gray Price, Bertha Gray Stryon, one son: Clyde E Gray, thirteen grandchildren: Millard Godfrey, Edna Godfrey St. John, Ralph L Godfrey, Phyllis Godfrey Wright, Donald Godfrey, Joyce Gray Jernigan, Clyde E Gray Jr, Ralph S Gray, Ola Virginia Gray, Mary E Gray, Shirley Price Boggs, Charles Leon Styron Jr, Ann Page Styron and six great-grandchildren.
