Lyn was preceded by her husband of 38 years, F. E. “Red” Bonnell, her parents, her sister and brother in law Dorothy and H.P. “Perry” Lomax. She is survived by her children Linda and her husband Craig Donowho, and her son John and his wife Melissa Bonnell; her grandchildren Mitch and wife Warrin Donowho, Kyle Donowho, Jake Bonnell and Megan Bonnell.
Lyn was a devoted Christian and a member of Oak Meadow United Methodist Church, and a prior member of University United Methodist Church, where she served as the pastor’s secretary and on numerous committees.
She attended the University of Incarnate Word and worked as a Secretary in the Oil and Gas Industry, and even worked as a map maker making maps from aerial photos. She took flying lessons and stopped just short of soloing-partly for work, and partly for fun. Lyn was a devoted wife and mother and stayed home to raise her family. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing games, and was a fierce bridge player. She had a fondness for all creatures big and small, and especially loved dogs, rescuing several through out the years. We are certain that she was greeted by many wagging tails as she entered heaven!
