Neva L. Jones passed into heaven Friday, August 10, 2018 with her daughters at her side. She was born April 14, 1928 in New Albany, Kansas, to Clifford and Blanche Tyner Morris.
She was united in marriage on February 15, 1947 to Eldon Jones. She went to work for the First National Bank of Kansas City in 1968 and she retired after 22 years in the data processing department to help her husband in their welding and repair business in Kearney. She also volunteered at the Kearney senior center.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Eldon; her parents; her twin sister, Nita; sisters, Fern and Carol; a brother, Sonny; and grandchildren, Dennis and Cory.
She is survived by her sisters, Vera and Dottie (Allen), and brother, Louis (Janice); sister-in-laws, Gay Jones and Nadine Jones; her children, Darlene (Cliff), Nita, Bruce (Theda), Lewis, Peggy, Marjorie (Pat), and Jack; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Missouri, on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Care Hospice at 2800 Clay Edwards Drive, Kansas City, Missouri, or your favorite charity.
