Catherine Brislin, 97, formerly of City Heights Apartments, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Valley Crest Nursing Home, where she had been a guest for the past several years.
Born August 28, 1910, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late James and Catherine McHugh Cosgrove.
She attended the Wilkes-Barre schools and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Formerly she was employed by King's College and the Children's Service Center.
Mrs. Brislin was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, Wilkes-Barre, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making afghans.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Price and Joseph Brislin; grandson James Price Jr.; brothers John and James Cosgrove; sisters Helen and Regina Cosgrove. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Watson, of Yonkers, N.Y., and Lois Patton, of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons James Price, of Kingston, Robert Price, of Wilkes-Barre, and William Price, of Kingston; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, from the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
