Mrs. Hubert (Katherine) Majerus-Arendt, 78, lifelong resident of the Bellechester area, died this morning at St. John's Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Chester Township Aug. 23, 1881. Mrs. Majerus was the daughter of Philip and Josephine Arendt. She attended school in Chester Township and was married to Hubert Majerus in St. Mary's Church at Bellechester September 12, 1900. She had lived in the Bellechester area all her life. The deceased was a member of the Altar society of St. Mary's Church. Surviving are five sons, Hubert, Minneapolis; Louis, Waukesha, Wis.; Walter, Bellechester; Norbert, St. Cloud; and Vincent, Bellechester; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Hildegard) Plier, Belgium, Wis., and Mrs. William (Christine) Befort, Mazeppa; 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Feipel, Farmington; Mrs. Christ (Rose) Virnig, New Richmond, Minn.; Mrs. William (Lena) Bastian, St. Cloud, and Sister Mary Agneta, Milwaukee , Wis. Her husband preceded her in death in 1948. Also preceding her in death were several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday at St. Mary's Church in Bellechester, the Rev. Fr. Anthony Louis officiating. burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the home in Bellechester tonight and Wednesday afternoon and evening. Burial: 15 October 1959, St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellechester, Goodhue Co., MN
