Our dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend passed away peacefully on June 18, 2003 in her home in West Valley, Utah.
Charlotte Carel Peterson was born Dec. 1, 1936 in Long Beach, CA to Jesse and Julia Mangum Dixon. She married her Cyprus High School sweetheart, Michael Peterson on December 2, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they were blessed with three wonderful children and three beautiful grandchildren. They lived in the Salt Lake Valley all of their married life, except for 10 years in Grand Junction, CO (1973-1983).
Charlotte was very talented and enjoyed many different crafts, painting, quilting, knitting, floral design and sewing. She loved to sing, especially with her brother Jim, and loved to be with Michael at the many barbershop singing events. The Utah Jazz were her team.
Among those left behind to honor her life are her husband Michael; her children, Randy (Jackie) Peterson, West Valley; Wayne Peterson, Laguna Nigel, CA; Jamie (Stewart) Shepherd, Tooele, UT; sister, Dixie Baker, Kearns, UT; brothers, Jim (Juany) Dixon, Idaho Falls, ID; Michael Dixon, West Valley; three grandchildren, Jaden, Mikena, and Braden; many nieces and nephews; step-mother Josephine Dixon. She is united beyond the veil with her mother and father, aunts and uncles.
Charlotte will always be loved and remembered for her dedication to her family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 23rd at 12:00 noon in the West Valley 3rd Ward Chapel, 2820 West 3590 South, West Valley, UT. A viewing will be held at the Chapel, Sunday evening, June 22, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates. Arrangements by SereniCare, Funeral Directors.
