Jesse Woodrow Dixon, age 80, died November 10, 1993 in Oregon.

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed from the loving arms of his family to the welcoming arms of his Heavenly Father.

Born November 21, 1912 in Brooklet, Georgia, son of Moses Losson and Hannah E. Waters Dixon. Married Julia F. Mangum, December 28, 1932 in Long Beach, California; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple; she preceded him in death October 19, 1976. Married Josephine G. McGown August 11, 1977.

His greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and camping and hunting with his sons, along with his adventures with his dear wife.

He served as ward clerk, member of the bishopric in the Kearns 2nd Ward and on the High Council of the Kearns Stake. He and Josephine served a mission in the South Carolina mission fields.

Survived by his wife, Josephine; children, Dixie Lee Baker, Kearns; Charlotte Carel and husband, Michael Peterson; Jimmie Wayne and wife, Juany Dixon; Michael Losson and wife, Lorraine Dixon, all of West Valley City; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jody Wayne and Jayleen; three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services.

Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
