Technical Sergeant Clyde L. Baird was a highly decorated member of the 8th Air Force during World War II. He flew 32 bombing missions over Europe as a B-24 aerial gunner. His decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal, Europe-Africa-Middle East Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the Presidental Unit Citation.
