James Edward Miles, 49, died Thursday in the Veterans Hospital in Nashville after a long illness.
Services were Saturday afternoon in Gallant Funeral Home. Malcolm Higdon officiated and burial was in the Kelso Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Clark Miles and Mrs. Thelma Thompson Miles of Fayetteville, who survives. He was a native of Lincoln County.
Mr. Miles was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired construction worker.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lori Longoria and Miss Michelle Miles, both of Houston, Texas; three sons, Lannie Edward Miles, Robin Eugene Miles, and Charles Sanford Miles, all of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Gayle Porter of Lynnville; three brothers, Charles Miles, Joe Miles, and Bobby Gene Miles, all of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.
