Mr. Beardsley was a son of Justice and Lucy Beardsley, who were pioneer residents of this town, the homestead being about a mile west of Fairport on the Rochester road. He left this village when a young man and for some time lived in Rochester, where he was city surveyor several years.
Surviving relatives are a daughter, Mrs. A. J. Waldron of Portland, Oregon, and the sister, Mrs. Stenson of this village, also several nephews and nieces, who reside in this section.
The remains were brought to Fairport, Saturday and burial made at Mr. Pleasant cemetery, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. (The Monroe County Mail, Thursday, September 7, 1916)"
