Siblings are Nathan Schenck and Jonathan Schenck. He and his wife Mary Ann had the following children: Nepheus Lloyd, Samantha Rachael, Emma Arvilla, Daniel Milford, Allen Wesley, Flora Priscilla, Toner Bethuel, and Alma Anna. He was a grandson of Michael Schenck.
MICHAEL SCHENCK, an old and well known resident of this city, died at 8 o'clock last evening of diseases incident to old age at the home of his son-in-law, J. C. Cheesman, 2113 Seventh avenue. Mr. Schenck was born at Howard, Centre county, Nov. 17, 1822, and resided in this city for the past 21 years. His wife preceded him to the grave a number of years ago. He is survived by these children: N. Lloyd Schenck, Amaha [sic], Neb.; Allen Schenck, Harrisburg; Mrs. J. G. McClellan and Miss Emma Schenck, of Weaverton, Md.; Mrs. J. I. Cheesman and Mrs. A. M. Stewart, of this city. The deceased was a life long Christian and at the time of death was a consistent member of the Eighth avenue Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral services will be held Sunday evening, to be conducted by the Rev. George Murray Klepfer. Monday morning the remains will be taken to Howard, Centre county, where services will be conducted in the Methodist Episcopal church at 10 o'clock. -- Altoona Times, Altoona, Pennsylvania, 15Oct1904, p. 5.
