" Jeremiah S. Biery, aged 87 years and six months, and a well known veteran of the Civil War, died at his home in Lamartine, Salem township, on Sunday evening, March 23, at 6:30 o'clock, his death resulting from infirmities due to old age. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Biery was a life-long resident of Lamartine and was well known. He was a member of the G.A.R. Post at Emlenton. He is survived by five children as follows: Mrs. Harry C. Ferringer, Franklin; Frank, New Kensington; Irvin, Detroit; George, Oil City, and Miss Anna Biery, at home."
