Born on January 8, 1944 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Walter C. Reutebuch and Virginia (Kitchell) Helvie.
In 1962, Rosie graduated from Onward High School.
On November 24, 1962 in Onward, she was married to Ronald L. Elifritz, who survives.
A homemaker and farmwife, Rosie had worked for twelve years as a clerk at the former Garden City Supermarket. She enjoyed a rich heritage of farming through the generations with her family. Family was everything to Rosie and she enjoyed devoting herself to her children and grandchildren and their activities.
Rosie was a lifelong member of the Onward Christian Church. She enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, fishing and spending winters in Florida.
Surviving are two daughters; one sister; one stepbrother; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dan Reutebuch; stepfather, Donald Helvie; and stepbrother, Stephen Helvie.
A Memorial Service celebrating Rosie's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Onward Christian Church with Rod Mason officiating.
Interment, at a later date, will be in the Little Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.
Friends will be received from 9 AM until the time of the service in the church.
