Fletcher's headstone is beside that of his father, Wait Branch. Both Wait and Fletcher died in the Cholera outbreak in 1854. Wait and Fletcher were setting up a tannery when the out break hit. During their time in Wilmington, Illinois, Myrex Fuller, Myrex's daughter Jane and several other relatives were living near them in the Wilmington area. It is my belief that the whole Branch family, including his wife Abigail Fuller Branch and daughter Cynthia Fuller, made the trip with to Wilmington. Cynthia married James Wright in Wilmington. We do see that Abigail is back in Licking Co. Ohio in 1870, with her daughter Cynthia Wright.
