Elizabeth "Betsy" Sheeks Blankenship was born about 1794 to George David Sheeks and Elizabeth Howard. She married John "Burch" Blankenship in Wayne County, Kentucky 27 Aug 1818, as found transcribed in the book "Wayne County, Kentucky Marriages 1801-1850, by another Researchers Publication" on page 5.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Sheeks Blankenship died sometime before 12 Jan 1880 in Russell County, Kentucky as there is an Administrators Bond recorded on that date in Russell County, Kentucky Administrator's Bonds Book Page 127 and an Estate Inventory and Sale held on 24 Jan 1880 and Recorded 8 Apr 1881 in the Inventories Book on pages 49 and 50. (See images attached to memorial).Elizabeth Sheeks was born about 1794 North Carolina. Died January 24, 1880 Russell County, Kentucky.

Elizabeth was the sixth of seven children born to George DAVID Sheeks and Elizabeth Howard. David and Elizabeth Howard Sheeks had four daughters and three sons. Their names were Benjamin Sheeks the oldest son. Oldest daughter Rosannah Sheeks Fips Green. Second daughter Polly Sheeks Dabney. Second son Jesse Sheeks. Third daughter* Elizabeth Sheeks. Third son Cornelius Sheeks. Fourth daughter Susan Sheeks Meadows.

On page 271 of George DAVID Sheeks will dated 1 October 1837 at Obion County, Tennessee he referred to Elizabeth Blankenship formally Sheeks, my third daughter, the sum of fifty dollars.

His will probated 2 October 1837 Obion, Tennessee.
